R.E.G.A.L.
Robotics · Engineering · Gaming · Analytical Learning
R.E.G.A.L. is where builders, thinkers, storytellers, and strategists come together. Students design and program robots, compete in semi-competitive gaming, run a weekly Dungeons & Dragons campaign, and take on real engineering challenges – all in one program.
Imagination meets innovation here. Students who’ve never thought of themselves as “tech kids” find their people in R.E.G.A.L. – and students who already are find the challenge they’ve been looking for.

New Program
Guitar Program at Royce.
The Royce School is launching a guitar program led by Mr. Jonathan MacArthur. Whether you’ve never picked up a guitar or you’ve been playing for years, this program meets you where you are and helps you grow.
Music is a powerful way to build focus, self-expression, and confidence – skills that matter well beyond the instrument. At Royce, the guitar program is designed to be encouraging, creative, and personal. Every student progresses at their own pace in an environment where trying is celebrated.

Royce athletes compete against other schools in track, basketball, and cross country. We’re a small school – and that means every athlete is known, every athlete is coached directly, and every athlete actually plays.
Our athletes show up knowing their coaches believe in them and their teammates depend on them. That’s not a small-school compromise – it’s a small-school advantage. The confidence built on the track and the court carries directly into the classroom.

Spirit Week. Five Days of Royce Pride.
At Royce, we start the year the best way we know how – with Spirit Week. It’s five days of dressing up, showing out, and celebrating everything that makes our community bold, creative, and uniquely us.
Each day brings a new theme and a new chance to express yourself – whether you’re rocking cozy pajamas, going full tie-dye, celebrating your favorite holiday, repping your favorite band, or showing off your top sports team.
Spirit Week sets the tone for the year ahead: fun, welcoming, and full of moments that remind us how great it feels to be part of a community that celebrates every voice, every style, and every student.
End of Year
Field Day. One School. Five Teams.
Every spring, the entire Royce community comes together for Field Day – the culminating celebration of everything we’ve built across the year. K through 12, all on the same field, competing as one of the five house teams they’ve belonged to since September.
A 5th grader cheers next to a 10th grader wearing the same colors. An 8th grader coaches a 2nd grader through an event. Older students step into the role of teammate and mentor without being asked – because by May, that’s just who they are to each other.
The competition is real. The energy is loud. And when the final scores are tallied and a team hoists the championship, what they’re celebrating isn’t just winning – it’s a whole year of belonging to something together.
