Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program

Supporting The Royce School through the Georgia Tax Credit Program allows you to make a meaningful difference while receiving a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit.

What is the Apogee Program?

The Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program – commonly called Apogee – allows eligible Georgia taxpayers to redirect a portion of their state tax liability to support private school scholarship funds, including scholarships at The Royce School.

This is not a deduction – it’s a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit. That means every dollar you contribute reduces your Georgia tax bill by a full dollar, up to the applicable limit. Your contribution costs you nothing extra while making quality specialized education accessible for students who need it most.

Contributions are submitted through Apogee123.org and must be submitted by December 15th each year.

Determine Your Eligibility

Georgia taxpayers – individuals and corporations – can redirect a portion of their state tax liability to support student scholarships at The Royce School. Contact our development office if you have questions about your eligibility.

Submit Your Contribution

Visit Apogee123.com to submit your contribution by December 15th. This is not your payment – it is your intent to contribute, which triggers the approval process.

Receive Your Approval Letter

In January, you will receive a letter from the Georgia Department of Revenue confirming the approved contribution amount. This letter authorizes your payment.

Make Your Payment

Once you receive your Approval Notice, pay online or by mail to Apogee within 60 days of the letter date. Apogee will then forward those funds to The Royce School for student scholarships.

Claim Your Tax Credit

You will receive a tax credit the following year that can be applied when filing your Georgia state taxes. The credit equals your full contribution – dollar-for-dollar.
