  • 🍃 Lower School Adventure Day at Forsyth Park

Learning, Play, and Exploration in the Heart of Savannah

Our Lower School students enjoyed a beautiful day of learning and exploration during their recent trip to Forsyth Park — one of Savannah’s most iconic outdoor spaces. With perfect weather and plenty of room to roam, the park became an extension of our classroom for the day.

Students began their morning with a nature walk, observing trees, plants, and wildlife while practicing their science skills: asking questions, making predictions, and noticing details in the world around them. Teachers guided students through hands-on activities that connected what they’ve been learning in class to the environment around them.

Afterward, the group enjoyed time on the playground, where teamwork, communication, and imaginative play took center stage. Whether they were climbing, running, or inventing new games together, students showed the same confidence and cooperation we see in the classroom.

A picnic lunch under the shade of the live oaks wrapped up the day — complete with plenty of laughter, conversation, and shared moments with friends.

Field experiences like this help our students build independence, curiosity, and connection to their community. We’re grateful to our teachers, staff, and chaperones for making this day both meaningful and fun.

Here’s to more adventures that help our learners grow in every way.
