At The Royce School, belonging isn’t something students wait to find — it’s something we intentionally build together. Our Student Teams bring learners from Lower, Middle, and Upper School into mixed‑age groups designed to strengthen peer relationships, encourage mentoring, and help students practice the social skills that matter both in and beyond the classroom.
Each team is supported by dedicated teachers and a Team Parent who help guide activities, model collaboration, and cheer students on. Throughout the year, teams work toward shared goals through service projects, school‑wide challenges, and community‑building events. These experiences give students the chance to lead, support one another, and celebrate their strengths as a group.
Every team has created its own crest featuring our school knight mascot, along with a motto and battle chant that capture their spirit. At the end of the year, all teams come together for our beloved Royce Field Day, where teamwork, sportsmanship, and school pride take center stage.

The R.E.G.A.L. Program brings together several of Royce’s most hands‑on, imaginative, and student‑driven clubs under one unified umbrella. Originally launched as the Dragon Club and Gaming Club by Mr. Cedric Beamon II and Mr. James McGuffey during the 2024-25 school year, the program has quickly grown into a vibrant hub of creativity, problem‑solving, and community.
Today, R.E.G.A.L. includes robotics delivery projects, semi‑competitive gaming teams, and a thriving weekly Dungeons & Dragons campaign where students collaborate, strategize, and build rich stories together. As interest has grown, students have also begun exploring engineering and programming showcases, demonstrating their readiness to share their skills beyond campus. Many members have even extended their learning outdoors, contributing meaningful design and labor to the school garden.
