The Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program, also called APOGEE, allows eligible taxpayers to direct certain tax dollars toward supporting private education, including schools like The Royce School. This program provides a valuable way for families and supporters to contribute to making quality special education accessible.
How to Donate Using the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program
Supporting The Royce School through the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program allows you to make a meaningful difference while receiving a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit. It’s a win-win for you and our students!
Determine Your Eligibility:
Georgia taxpayers (individuals and corporations) can redirect a portion of their state tax liability to support student scholarships at The Royce School.
Check Your Tax Credit Limit:
Note: This is a dollar-for-dollar tax credit, not a deduction
Individuals/Married Couples: Up to $1,000 per person or $2,500 per married couple filing jointly

Make Your Contribution:
Visit Apogee123.com to submit your contribution by December 15th.

Receive your letter:
In January, you will receive a letter from the Department of Revenue confirming the approved amount to be paid.
Note: This contribution will not be deducted from your taxes and must be paid directly to Apogee, who will report the payment ot the state of Georgia.

Pay:
Once the Approval Notice is received, pay online (or mail check) to Apogee within 60 days of the dates of the letter.

Apogee Sends Funds:
Apogee will send the funds to The Royce School to be used for Academic Scholarships for the following school year.

Tax Credit:
You will receive a tax credit the following year that can be submitted when filing your taxes.
